Cafe Flore, “Best Cafe in San Francisco,” according to readers of the SF Bay Guardian in the most recent years, has been the Heart & Soul of the Castro since 1973. A landmark all-ages cafe known for our distinctive brunch and dinner menu, sunny outdoor brunch, full bar with great drink specials & community events, we proudly offer the most central meet up spot in the Castro, with a full (heated) outdoor patio.

The crowd is a mix of gym bunnies from across the street, gay, straight and other “flavors” of colorful people from the local Castro, Lower Haight, and Mission districts, plus travelers visiting from all over the world. Our location is at the busy intersection of Market, Noe, and 16th Streets, a place to see and be seen by San Francisco’s most eclectic crowd, and a well-known cruising spot.

Heated outdoor patio and sidwalk tables make Cafe Flore the relaxed place to eat, see and be seen.

Why Wait, Have a Seat, Enjoy! Cafe Flore is a great place to meet people. Since we are self-service, you won’t usually have to wait to sit down…order food at the kitchen counter and find any available table (inside or outside). We bring your order out to you. Order Drinks & Desserts separately at the bar. You spend less time waiting, and more time enjoying your friends!
