On Your Mark

Mark I. Chester’s three decades of photographing underground, alternative, kink and leather communities have yielded a feast of iconographic imagery. He’ll share some of his best fine art prints beginning in late September at his studio, which is conveniently located right in the middle of Folsom Street Fair events, at 1229 Folsom St.
Not only can you view great portraiture. You can have a lovely digital portrait of yourself, and your partners in kink, that weekend.
The opening party and reception for Chester’s retrospective exhibit is Friday, Sept. 24, 7-11pm, with a suggested donation at the door. Open viewing hours are Saturday Sept. 25, 1pm-6pm, Sunday Sept. 26, 11am-6pm, and through 2010 by appointment. www.markichester.com
